BIOGRAPHY

Rachael Blackwood is an actress and writer currently based in Melbourne, Australia. Rachael began her creative career at a young age as a dancer in her rural hometown in country Victoria and has developed her skills to include acting, writing, presenting, voice over, and radio announcing.

A regular on the Australian performing scene, Rachael's appearances include City Homicide, the Sunday Night program, feature films My Year Without Sex, Swing It, MurderDrome, countless appearances in short films and theatre, and working as a radio presenter with ACE radio network stations TR-FM and GOLD 1242.

As an actor, Rachael is known for playing strong, beautiful, and raw characters. From a stoic English war widow, to the perfectionist ballerina, to the ultimate ice queen, Rachael explores tough on the outside, haunted on the inside. Currently, Rachael is training three times a week to play the roller-derby sociopath Hell Grazer in the feature slasher MurderDrome. Earlier this year, Rachael put in a stunning true to life performance as Wendy Peirce, widow of alleged Walsh St murderer Victor Peirce, produced by Channel Seven Productions.
