BIOGRAPHY
Rachael Blackwood is an actress and writer currently based in Melbourne, Australia. Rachael began her creative career at a young age as a dancer in her rural hometown in country Victoria and has developed her skills to include acting, writing, presenting, voice over, radio announcing, and producing.
A regular on the Australian performing scene, Rachael's appearances include City Homicide, the Sunday Night program, feature films My Year Without Sex, Swing It, MurderDrome, and countless appearances in short films, and theatre.
As an actor, Rachael is known for playing strong, beautiful, and raw characters. From a stoic English war widow to the ultimate ice queen, Rachael explores tough on the outside, haunted on the inside. Most recently, Rachael featured in international artist Kimbra's music video clip Come Into My Head. Still shooting (set to wrap Nov 2012) is indie feature slasher MurderDrome, which saw Rachael training three times a week to play the roller-derby sociopath Hell Grazer.
