Rachael Blackwood is known for playing strong, beautiful, and raw characters. From a stoic English war widow, to a control-freak office worker, to the ultimate ice queen, Rachael explores tough on the outside, haunted on the inside.

Most recently, Rachael got evil and condescending as nasty Katherine in The Silence. This was in stark contrast to the role of Veronica in Only Connect, a quiet and compassionate helpline counsellor.

2008 was a non-stop year for Rachael, wrapping two feature film lead roles (Restore and Swing It), appearing in My Year Without Sex (directed by Sarah Watt and in cinemas now), and lending her creativity to a further five lead roles in short films and theatre productions.

Rachael Blackwood has skills in voiceover, presenting, basic circus tricks and stunts. Rachael has professional credits as a face painter, dancer, graphic designer, and writer/editor.
